Irvine-specific moving tips that affect pricing
- Apartments/condos: elevator reservations, COI requirements, and loading dock rules can affect timing.
- Parking and long carries: limited street parking or long walks from truck to door can increase labor time.
- Weekend demand: Fridays and weekends usually cost more than mid-week.
- HOAs and gated communities: check access windows and truck restrictions ahead of time.
- Accurate inventory: mis-sized inventory is the #1 cause of price changes on move day.

Reviewing: Pro Moving & Storage
I was promised 3 movers, and that was confirmed by the person who called to verify my move two days after the sale. I think I should be entitled to a refund due to one less mover. My two movers did an outstanding job, taking great care of my belongings. They worked at a fast pace, with no breaks. The move took about 6 hours, due to stairs. This time would have been less, if the 3rd member of the team were present. The sales person was friendly, yet a little forceful- but in a good way. He instilled confidence for me to use your device for my move. Overall, very pleased. I would have given 5 stars, if the commitment of the 3rd man was kept.

They were awesome! For only 2 people it was a huge task. I would use both Omar and Daniel again and recommend them to anyone I know.

Irvine Moving Services Are a Click Away
Every move is different. Whether it’s a home, office, or just a few items of heavy furniture, iMoving provides a whole menu of must-have services for moving in and out of Irvine:
Long Distance Moving
You're looking for long distance moving companies in Irvine. Unfortunately, there are about a billion of 'em. You don't have time to contact each mover, enter in your personal info over and over again, and then deal with shady companies that don't know what they're doing.
Fortunately, iMoving is here to help. Shop our marketplace, and get access to hundreds of quotes that are custom-tailored to your needs. We even weeded out all the bad moving companies so you only deal with the best of the best.
Local Moving
In the moving industry, anything under 100 miles and within the same city counts as a local move. But whether you're moving across the block or across the county, you still deserve a team you can trust.
Looking for the best local mover in Irvine? iMoving's got you covered. Tell us more about the job, and we'll give you a curated list of quotes that are custom-tailored to your needs and your budget.
Packing Services
Paying someone to do all your packing may sound like a pricey addition - or, depending on your previous experience, it may seem like an invitation to get your stuff stolen. Fortunately, with iMoving, we make sure it's neither of those.
We've got a whole network of trusted movers, and some of them offer packing services in Irvine. This means you're getting our same vetted teams to do the wrapping, padding, boxing, and taping. We'll also give you a whole list of quotes so you can pick the team that's best for the job, and best for your budget.
Storage Services
Chances are, your movers aren't gonna let you keep the moving truck in your driveway. Your neighbors probably won't be too happy about it either. But if you still have stuff in the trailer, and you don't have enough space at your new place, what can you do?
Easy. Book Irvine storage with iMoving. We don't just keep track of the guys who do loading and hauling. We know you may have some extra items that need a roof and a locked door until you find takers. And that's why we make it easy to connect with secure and reliable storage before, during, and after your move.
Commercial Moving
As a business owner, you probably have enough on your plate. Do you want to disrupt your day-to-day to pack up a bunch of boxes? We didn't think so.
We get it. We're business owners, too. If you need to reduce downtime and keep the gears turning, you'll need the best commercial moving company in Irvine. And at iMoving, we've made it easier than ever to find the right fit for the job. FAQ
In the last 12 months, the average local move cost in Irvine was about $1,725. Your actual price depends on home size, stairs/elevator, parking, long carries, packing, and move date. Long-distance moves vary more by shipment size and distance.
The cheapest times are usually mid-week and mid-month when demand is lower. Prices often rise on weekends, holidays, and at the end of the month. If you can be flexible, compare multiple dates and keep your inventory and access details accurate to avoid pricing surprises.
Use movers that list specialty handling, custom crating, or heavy-item service. When requesting quotes, flag specialty items and provide exact details (weight, stairs, tight turns). This helps match you with movers equipped for fragile or oversized items and prevents last-minute add-on fees.
Moving containers are a great middle ground between a DIY job and hiring full-service movers. A moving container company will drop off the container at your place, and you can fill it up on your own schedule.
When it's ready to go, just contact the container company and they'll pick it up and transport it for you. It's like having a portable storage unit that gets delivered to your door.
For local moves, booking 2-4 weeks ahead is typical, but during peak periods (weekends, end-of-month, summer) it may take 4-8 weeks. For long-distance moves, book earlier if possible. Booking ahead gives you more mover choices and helps you lock in better pricing.
